Sky Bus

Sky Bus runs from Meskel Square in Addis Ababa every day (except Mondays) around 13:00h. Buy tickets a day or two before you leave as they often sell out for the day. Get them at the Sky Bus office at Taitu Hotel or on Meskel Square in Addis Ababa. The bus often leaves late, so expect to arrive around 21:00 or later in Hawassa.

Selam Bus

Another option is to take Selam bus that runs every day. The bus leaves at 6:00h and takes about 5 and half hours. The last stop in Hawassa is near the intersection just on the town side of the bus station, about 0.3 miles northeast of the Sidamo monument.

Ethiopian Airlines

Hawassa is just a half hour flight from the capital Addis Ababa. You can fly from Addis to Awasa via a domestic flight with Ethiopian Airlines. Book your flight tickets online at least a day in advance and ensure you get to Addis airport with time to spare for check-in.

Airport Shuttle

DandZu Resort & Lodge Hawassa offers free airport shuttle (available 24 hours), and an area shuttle available for guests. Self-parking is also available for free.
